In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian forward post in border district of Poonch in Jammu division late on Wednesday night even as Army averted a major tragedy by timely detecting and defusing an IED in Mankote area of Mendhar district which was planted by militants on Jammu-Poonch highway to target Army convoy and civilian vehicles. According to Police sources, the motive behind theunprovoked firing was to push trained militants into the Indian territory.
