CCI orders fresh probe into Coal India and subsidiary for violations

The Competition Commission of India has ordered fresh probe into the state-run miner Coal India and its subsidiary for alleged abuse of dominant market position in fuel supplies. The probe would also look into the role of executives who were in-charge of business if violations of competition norms are found.

The move comes less than two months after Competition Commission of India slapped 1,773 crore rupees penalty on Coal India for unfair business ways.
