The Cabinet Committee on Investment, CCI has cleared the proposal of the Power Ministry for setting up the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Plant by the National Thermal Power Corporation, NTPC near Tandwa town in Chatra district of Jharkhand. The CCI also agreed to restore the original coal linkage for the project. The project will be based on environment friendly super-critical technology and will lead to the generation of 1980 MW power.
