The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure, CCI, has approved the setting up of the National Knowledge Network, NKN. AIR correspondent reports that the network, with an outlay of 5990 crore rupees, will be implemented by the National Information Centre, NIC, over a period of ten ten years.
