CCEA gives nod for nine Railway projects

In a big boost to the country's rail netweork, CCEA has given its approval for nine projects worth over 24 thousand 374 crore rupees in nine states for expansion of railway network and enhanced connectivity. <br/><br/>In Assam, second line between New Bongaigaon and Kamakhya of Northeast Frontier Railway has been approved at an estimated cost of over 2,586 crore rupees.<br/><br/>In Jharkhand, construction of third line between Kharagpur and Adityapur has been approved at an estimated cost of over 1483 crore rupees. Construction of third line between Rajnandgaon-Nagpur in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh and Gondia, Bhandara and Nagpur districts in Maharashtra has also been cleared. It will cost over 2193 crore rupees. For Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, construction of third line between Mathura and Jhansi and Bina has been approved at an estimated cost of over 6500 crore rupees. <br/><br/>CCEA has also given its nod for construction of third line between Itarsi and Nagpur at an estimated cost of nearly 2883 crore rupees in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. <br/><br/>Besides, construction of third line between Ballarshah and Kazipet haa also been approved in Telangana and Maharashtra at an estimated cost of over 2403 crore rupees. Construction of third line between Vijaywada and Gudur in Andhra Pradesh which will cost over 3875 crore rupees has been approved. In Odisha and Chhatisgarh, construction of fourth line between Jharsuguda and Bilaspur at an estimated cost of over 2298 crore rupees has been approved.
