The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA on Friday approved the Fair and Remunerative Price, FRP, of sugarcane at 230 rupees per quintal for the 2015-16 sugar season. It will ensure a guaranteed price to sugarcane growers.According to an official release, the FRP will be linked to a basic recovery rate of 9.5 percent, subject to a premium of 2 rupees 42 paise per quintal for every .1 percentage point increase in recovery above that level.
