CCEA approves four-laning of Odisha NH-200 section at cost of over Rs 732cr

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA has approved the implementation of the development of four laning of Bhuban-Dubari-Chandikhole section of National Highway-200 in Odisha under the National Highways Development Project on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis. This decision was taken in the CCEA meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in New Delhi. The total length of this section will be over 62 kms. The total cost of the project will be over 732 crore rupees.
The main object of the project is to expedite the improvement of infrastructure in Odisha and also in reducing the time and cost of travel for traffic, particularly heavy traffic, plying between Bhuban-Dubari-Chandikhole. The NH-200 is a major link for ore mines between Dubari to Paradeep Port. It will also increase the employment potential for local labourers for project activities.
