The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA today approves the continuation of the scheme of Central assistance for fast track courts for another period of one year. The Centre will provide assistance to the States at the rate of 4.80 lakh rupees per court for a total number of 1562 fast track courts in the country. A budgetary provision of 75 crore rupees has been made for the scheme in the current financial year. <br/><br/>In another decision, the CCEA has approved the comprehensive and integrated socio-economic development project under the new land use policy of Government of Mizoram. The programme seeks to benefit 120000 families over a period of five years for select livelihood activities.
