Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has set 5th January as the deadline for schools to develop and update their website with comprehensive information.
In a circular issued to schools, the board has said that many schools still have not developed their websites or have not updated them.
In October 2010, CBSE, made it mandatory for every affiliated school to develop its own website containing necessary information about the school, which includes affiliation status, infrastructure details, names and designation of teachers, class-wise enrolment of students, and details of the school management committee, among others.
