CBSE 12th results: Girls once again outshone boys

CBSE has declared the Class 12th results today. Briefing media persons in New Delhi, Delhi Education Minister, Arvinder Singh Lovely said that Delhi government schools have registered a pass percentage of 88.87 this year which is 1.7 percent more as compared to last year. Girls once again outshone boys as 89.13 percent girls passed the examination as compared to 81.12 percent of the boys. The overall pass percentage in the Delhi region including the government, aided and private schools is 84.97. Congratulating the government schools for an ever-improving performance, the minister said that its the fifth consecutive year that delhi government schools have performed the best on the national level. He added that the government schools have played an instrumental role in lifting delhi region's overall performance to the 2nd spot in the country.<br/><br/>CBSE has launched a toll free helpline to address post result anxiety in students. Students can call 1800 11 7002 from any part of the country to avail this assistance. Information and techniques to cope with result induced stress has also been provided on the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in by accessing the icon 'Helpline'. CBSE has also made a unique effort to provide counseling through IVRS reaching out to students especially in the far flung areas. Airtel landline users can dial 1250102, Reliance users can access 55500102 while both landline and mobile users of BSNL can dial 1250102 except in Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra.<br/> <br/>
