The government today said the functional and financial independence of CBI will be maintained at any cost. Speaking at the 13th D P Kohli memorial lecture in New Delhi, minister of state in the Prime minister's office V Narayanasamy asserted that the government is not going to dilute the powers of CBI in the Lokpal Bill. Saying corruption poses a threat to the government, Mr Narayanasamy said the menace can be tackled through global cooperation.
