Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has referred the Shunglu Committee Report on Host Broadcasting issues relating to the Commonwealth Games to the CBI. While ordering action on the report, the Prime Minister directed reverting Doordarshan Director General Aruna Sharma to her parent cadre and also seeking explanation from her and the Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati BS Lalli on the allegations made against them. He has also asked the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to recommend an appropriate course of action within two weeks.
