The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, will start interrogation of former Gujarat Minister of State for Home Amit Shah in Sabarmati Jail of Ahmedabad from Wednesday. The interrogation will be conducted under tight security and entire proceedings will be recorded on audio and video tape. Special CBI court has granted permission to the investigating agency for interrogation from 28th to 30th July. Hearing on the bail application of Amit Shah was slated on 2nd August. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that Amit Shah, accused for murder, abduction and conspiracy in Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter is in 14-day judicial custody after arrested by CBI on Sunday. Meanwhile, search is on to arrest Ajay Patel, Chairman and Yashpal Chudasama, Director of Ahmedabad District Cooperative Bank after non-bailable warrants against them. Both are close associates of Amit Shah and allegedly involved in taking extortion money and threatening witnesses. Both were allegedly involved in extortion racket along with Amit Shah. Retired IPS officer OP Mathur likely to appear before the CBI today after he was summoned by the agency on Monday. Another retired IPS, GC Raigar was interrogated for about 6 hours when he was appeared before the CBI on Monday. Sohrabuddin Shaikh, a gangster was killed in an encounter and his wife Kosherbi was murdered by the Gujarat police, in 2005. Later, it was revealed in the investigation that the gangster was killed in fake encounter and extortion racket was run behind the entire conspiracy.
