The CBI on Monday told the Supreme Court that it will complete investigation and file within three months a charge sheet in the 2G spectrum allocation case. The apex court was informed by CBI counsel and senior advocate K K Venugopal that the agency will take two months to complete the investigation and in another one month, it will arrive at a conclusion and file the charge sheet. DMK leader A Raja had resigned as Telecom Minister earlier this month in the wake of the spectrum scam. Former CWG officials remanded to three-day CBI custody. A Delhi court on Monday remanded former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee officials T S Darbari, Sanjay Mahendroo and M Jayachandran to three days CBI custody in connection with the alleged bungling in the Queen's Baton Relay in London last year. While Darbari and Mahendroo were already in CBI custody since they were arrested on November 15, Jayachandran was arrested yesterday by the investigating agency. Jayachandran has also been questioned by Enforcement Directorate officials for over six hours as part of its probe into alleged financial irregularities in projects relating to the mega sporting event.
