In Uttar Pradesh the Allahabad High Court has given permission to the CBI for filing a chargesheet against senior IAS officer Pradeep Shukla, in the National Rural Health Mission NRHM scam case. He is the former principal secretary of family welfare and one of the main accused in the case.Earlier after hearing a petition of Mr. Shukla about seeking quashing of FIR in all four cases registered the court had asked the probe agency not to file any final report in any of the cases registered against him.A division bench of the court comprising Justices Ravindra Singh and Arun Kumar has passed the order yesterday after taking into consideration the counter-affidavit filed by the CBI. The court has fixed July 30 as the next date of hearing. Our Allahabad correspondent reports that then Principal Secretary for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Shukla was arrested on May 10 in connection with the multi-crore scam and has been in jail since then. He was named in four FIRs lodged by the CBI which eventually led to his arrest.
