CBI to challenge verdict of Gujarat High Court on Haren Pandya murder case

In Gujarat, CBI has decided to challenge the verdict of High Court on Haren Pandya murder case in the Supreme Court. After severely criticized by the Gujarat High Court for “botched up” and “blinkered” probe in the Haren Pandya muder case, the CBI has decided to challenge the verdict. According to sources, a Special Leave Petition will be filed in the apex court after detail analysis of the High Court verdict. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Gujarat High Court had dropped murder charges against all the 12 accused in the killing of former minister Haren Pandya. Former Gujarat Home Minister Pandya was shot dead in 2003 in his car near law garden area of the city.
