CBI submits status report in DA case against HP CM

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted status report in the Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife before the Delhi High Court today. The court fixed next date of hearing on November 4, 2015. After lodging FIR against Virbhadra Singh and others the CBI raided his residence in Shimla and other premises at various places on September 26th. <br/><br/>A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition was filled by Delhi based NGO, Common Cause, against the Chief Minister alleging his involvement in money laundering, amassing disproportionate assets and criminal misconduct during his tenure as Union Steel Minister in the then Manmohan Singh led UPA government.
