In Madhya Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation-CBI has started investigations into the Ratangarh temple stampede in Datia district. 115 people were killed in this incident on the 13th October this year. The Gwalior bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court had ordered a CBI probe into the Ratangarh temple stampede on 12th of the last month in response to a Public Interest Litigation that demanded probe into the incident by a central agency. The state government has also set up a judicial commission to probe the stampede.
