In Kerala, a CBI Special Court in Ernakulam has dismissed a petition filed by the CPI-M State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan demanding that Defence Minister and former Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony should be examined in connection with the Lavalin case. <br/> <br/>The CBI Special Court Judge K P Jyothindranath in his order directed the CBI to go ahead with the probe relating to the case. <br/> <br/>Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, a former State Electricity Minister and the seventh accused in the case, had argued that Mr Antony should also be examined. <br/> <br/>The Lavalin case relates to the alleged irregularities in connection with the award of contract for the renovation and modernisation of three hydel projects in Kerala to the Canada based SNC Lavalin Company.<br/>
