A Special Court of CBI in Ranchi has pronounced sentences to 40 accused in a case related to Fodder Scam.

The sentences range from four to seven years of rigorous imprisonments and fines from 25 thousands rupees to two crores rupees.

The Court had found all the 69 accused guilty in case related to fraudulent withdrawals of about 48 crores rupees from Doranda treasury of Ranchi.

Our Correspondent reports that out of the 69 convicted, 29 were sentenced last Wednesday itself and remaining 40 were sentenced today.

Sentence have been pronounced in 43 cases of the Fodder Scam, in which about one thousand government officers and suppliers had been sent to jail alongwith fines so far.
