The Central Bureau of Investigation has sought life sentence for Abu Salem in the 1993 serial blast case. CBI's special public prosecutor Deepak Salvi demanded life sentence for Salem while arguing on the quantum of sentence before Mumbai's TADA Court on Tuesday. <br/><br/>Last month, a special TADA court had convicted Abu Salem and five others on the charges of conspiracy, murder and terror activities. Abu Salem was also booked under the arms and explosives act. <br/><br/>He was accused of transporting weapons including nine AK 56 rifles that were used in the blasts. Salem was extradited from Portugal in 2005 and is currently lodged in Taloja Central Jail in Raigad.<br/>
