The BJP today demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan singh and the sacking of Law Minister Ashwani Kumar for allegedly influencing CBI on its report to the Supreme Court in the coal block allocations. Talking to reporters after the Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi today, Party spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said the Prime Minister's Office is very much involved in this.
Mr Prasad said the government has not responded to the repeated demands by the opposition that the Law Minister make a statement in this regard. He also said that BJP will not cooperate with the government. He said it is the responsibility of the government to run both the Houses of Parliament.
