In Gujarat, the Special CBI court of Ahmedabad today rejected the bail plea of Amit Shah- former Minister of State for Home. Amit Shah, a close aide of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is in Sabarmati Jail under the judicial custody since his arrest by CBI in Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter and murder of Kaushar bi-the wife of Sohrabuddin. The Special CBI Judge GK Upadhyay had pronounced his verdict this evening after the completion of counter arguments by the senior lawyers of both the sides on twenty ninth of last month. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that rejection of bail plea is a big set-back to Amit Shah- who has the option to challenge the verdict in the High court.
