The Central Bureau of Investigation today recorded the statement of Kadapa Lok Sabha member Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the mining irregularities case. A CBI team headed by Joint Director Lakshminarayana questioned the MP this morning at its Hyderabad office amidst tight security arrangements.

Later the CBI Joint Director confirmed recording of Jaganmohan Reddy’s statement. According to CBI sources, jaganmohan Reddy has been questioned about the investments that a company, accused of violating mining lease norms relating to Obulapuram Mining Company in his publishing company. The agency has been probing the alleged multi-crore rupees irregularities in the Obulapuram iron ore mining case for the past few months.
