CBI raids residences of I-T Commissioner in Mumbai in connection with bribe of Rs 19 lakh

The CBI today raided the residences of an Income Tax Commissioner in Mumbai and 5 other senior officials in connection with an alleged bribe of over Rs 19 lakh taken to favour a major corporate group. <br/><br/>CBI sources said the commissioner, B B Rajendra Prasad and one other person have been arrested from Vishakhapatnam. Four others have been taken into custody from Mumbai. <br/><br/>The CBI team recovered large amounts of cash, investment details and other incriminating documents from their homes in south Mumbai and other places. The accused shall be placed under arrest for corruption and related charges even as further investigations were underway.
