The CBI carried out searches on official and residential premises of a senior doctor at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday. It had registered a disproportionate assets case to the tune of 2.4 crore rupees against him. <br/><br/>According to the official sources, the case was registered against Dr Rakesh Verma, who is the Head of Cardiology department at the hospital.<br/>
