CBI raids residence of Karnataka State Congress President DK Shivakumar in disproportionate assets case

<span style="color: #222222;">The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has conducted raids at the residence and business establishments of D.K. Shivakumar, Karnataka State Congress President, in the disproportionate assets case. The search continues at different locations based on the inputs provided by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case.<br />''<br />''Congress workers held protests in Bengaluru today against the raids. The leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah has termed the raids as political vendetta allegedly done to weaken the Congress during the by election in the state.<br />''<br />''Countering the charges, the Medical Education minister in the state Dr. K Sudhakar has said raids are not against all the Congress leaders but only against D K Shivakumar who faces charges of corruption. Saying that the results of the by-election results will not have any impact on the Government he added that the timing of the raid is hence not questionable.</span><br />
