CBI raids make JPC more relevant: BJP

The BJP on Wednesday described the CBI raids in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam as too little, too late. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javdekar claimed that his Party's demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee on the issue was even more relevant now. He said, only a JPC can check day-to-day developments of the probe.StateBaramulla-Qazigund Rail Service in Kashmir Valley to resume soonIn Jammu and Kashmir, the Baramulla-Qazigund Rail Service in the Kashmir Valley is all set to re-start within a couple of days as the track repair works have almost been completed and re-deployment of security has also been undertaken. A decision to this effect was taken at a high level security review meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Railways, presided over by Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda at Railway Headquarters in Jammu on Wednesday. The meeting deliberated upon the overall security cover to the entire rail link of Katra-Qazigund-Budgam-Baramulla. It was informed at the meeting that foolproof security cover has been provided to the track, installation and work force.
