CBI has started questioning the Delhi Commonwealth Games Organising Committee Chief Suresh Kalmadi in connection with the alleged financial irregularities in the conduct of the sports event. Earlier, Kalmadi was summoned by the investigating agency. He had informed the CBI that he cannot appear before the 3rd of this month. CBI had recovered some crucial documents after raids at Kalmadi's residences and offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. Kalmadi's questioning follows the interrogation of his key aides Lalit Bhanot and Manoj Bhore.
