CBI opposes probe against Chidambaram in 2G scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court that investigations in the 2008 2G spectrum allocation scam during the tenure of former Telecom Minister A Raja have been completed. It further told the court that the framing of charges in the 2G Scam is to be decided by the trial court. The investigation agency, however, opposed to a plea for probing Home Minister P Chidambaram's alleged role in the 2G spectrum scam case saying it is beyond its jurisdiction to entertain it. The plea has been filed by Janata Party President Subramanium Swamy.
