The CBI investigating Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter is likely to file its status report before Supreme Court on Friday. The apex court had set July 31 as the deadline for CBI to submit its report into the probe. A CBI team headed by DIG P Kandaswamy reached Delhi on Thursday to prepare a final reply for the court. According to CBI sources, former Gujarat Minister Amit Shah has not co-operated the investigating agency during the interrogation for the last two days. Shah is in Sabarmati Jail under judicial custody till August 7 and his questioning was video graphed. The Supreme Court had transferred the case to CBI in last January- by severely criticizing Gujarat police for failing to conduct impartial investigations.
