CBI today issued a fresh summon to the Gujarat Minister of State for Home Amit Shah after he failed to appear before the investigation agency. Now, he has been asked to appear before the CBI on Friday. Summon has been issued in connection with the alleged fake encounter of the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba operative Sohrabuddin Sheikh. Earlier, CBI had issued a summon to Amit Shah to appear today, but he did not turn up. Reacting to the development, Gujarat Government Spokesperson Mr.Jaynarayan Vyas told the media persons that the State Government will co-operate in the investigation. Gujarat Congress has demanded the resignation of Amit Shah from the state cabinet after his name cropped up in the case. Our Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the CBI took over the investigation of the fake encounter case and murder of Sohrabuddin's wife in last January on the direction of the Supreme Court. The CBI has already arrested Chief of Ahmedabad Crime Branch DCP Abhay Chudasama, the fourth IPS officer arrested so far in this case.
