CBI grills Jagan Reddy for third day in assets case

The CBI today interrogated Kadapa Lok Sabha Member and YSR Congress party President Jaganmohan Reddy for the third consecutive day today in his alleged disproportionate assets case. Amidst tight security arrangements at the CBI Camp office in Hyderabad , the Central Investigation Agency has interrogated Jagnamohan Reddy reportedly over the alleged illegal land allotments and investments in his companies.

The interrogation went on about seven hours on the third day today in the presence of Jagnamohan Reddy’s advocates. The agency also interrogated others who accused and were arrested in the case. It was known that the CBI questioned the Kadapa MP for more than 15 hours in the last two days.

Jaganmohan Reddy has been facing charges that he has conspired with his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who was then the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh to dole out favours to those companies which invested in his companies.

Meanwhile, police have been put on alert at several towns in the state as a precautionary measure.
