CBI granted custody of former AP Secy arrested in mining case

In Andhra Pradesh, a Special CBI Court has sanctioned three days custody of IAS officer Srilakshmi till the 1st of next month. The Central Bureau of Investigation had arrested the IAS officer last evening for her alleged role in mining irregularities relating to Obulapuram Mining Company. The CBI officials had produced the IAS officer before the court in Hyderabad this morning pleaded 15 days custody. However, the Court sanctioned three days custody of the accused with the CBI and has asked to produce her before the court on December 1st.Srilakshmi, a former Industries Secretary to the state Government has been listed as one of the accused in the mining irregularities case involving Karnataka former Minister, Janardhan Reddy. She has also been facing allegations that she violated the norms in granting mining leases and favoured Obulapuram Mining Company. The CBI had also arrested the OBC MD Srinivasa Reddy and mining department former Director Rajagopal in the case.
