The CBI has accused former Family Welfare Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha of abusing his official position to favour private companies while alloting contract for upgradation of 134 hospitals in Uttar Pradesh under NRHM. In a supplementary charge sheet filed before Special CBI court in Ghaziabad, the investigating agency has accused Kushwaha and his close aide RP Jaiswal, the then MLA, of misusing their official position to benefit a local company. Both Kushwaha and Jaiswal are already under judicial custody in Dasna Jail.
