The Central Bureau of Investigation yesterday filed charge sheet against Trinamool Congress MPs Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Tapas Paul in a special CBI designated court in Bhubaneswar for their alleged involvement in 17 thousand crore rupees Rose Valley chit fund scam. <br/><br/>The investigating agency indicted Bandyopadhyay and Pal under sections of 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 409 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC and other sections against the duo parliamentarians. Both the MPs had allegedly availed undue financial benefits from the Rose Valley chit fund company and promoted its illegal business. <br/><br/>Both Sudip and Paul are lodged in a Bhubaneswar jail, after CBI arrested them in connection with their alleged involvement in the scam. Both have been undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bhubaneswar since February after they complained of illness. The probe agency filed a supplementary chargesheet against the company's boss Gautam Kundu in connection with the scam.
