The government has informed that CBI has filed charge sheet against the former Director General of Ordnance Factories, DGOF Sudipto Ghosh in a corruption case. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Mr. M.M. Pallam Raju said that two firms are also being prosecuted and investigations by CBI against the remaining firms are still on. He said that the matter is sub-judice. The Minister said that departmental proceedings are contemplated against the former retired DGOF. The CVC has also advised major penalty proceedings against Mr. Ghosh. The Minister informed the House that no other official of the Ordnance Factory Board have been found to be involved by the CBI.
