The CBI has filed chargesheet against 28 CRPF personnel including IG Pushkar Singh and Constables in the Patna CBI court, in connection with irregularities in the recruitment of paramilitary personnel in Bihar and Jharkhand in2007. All the 28 accused have been ordered to appear before the CBI court on the 18th of this month. The matter was handed over to the CBI after the Union Home Ministry found prima facie discrepancies in the recruitment of Constables in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. The recruitment scam was detected in Jharkhand and Bihar where over one thousand Constables were recruited between 2007 and 2009. CBI sources said that efforts are on to trace and identify other persons involved in the scam in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Harayana.
