CBI court fixes May 15th for further hearing into Ayodhya case

In Uttar Pradesh the special CBI court at Raebareli fixed today 15th of next month for further hearing into demolition of disputed structure at Ayodhya case in 1992. <br/><br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that defence council today continued his cross questioning with senior police officer Ms. Anju Gupta. Ms. Gupta was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police at the time of incident in Faizabad.<br/><br/>Defence Lawyer said the court that then state government had expressed its apprehension that agents of ISI from Pakistan and terrorists from Jammu Kashmir may damage the disputed structure and Principle Secretary Home had written a letter to central government in this regard. He asked several questions to Ms. Gupta on her statement made in the court.<br/><br/>The CBI has submitted his list of 49 witnesses to the court and nine of them have already recorded their statements. Senior BJP and VHP leaders including LK Advani, Dr. MM Joshi and Ashok Singhal are accused in this case.<br/>
