CBI court convicts 69 in Jharkhand fodder scam

In Jharkhand, a special CBI court at Ranchi convicted 69 fodder scam accused for fraudulently withdrawing 47 crore rupees from the Doranda treasury in the early 1990s. Delivering the verdict, Judge Ganpati Tiwari acquitted 16 others in the case for lack of evidence. The court sentenced 29 persons to jail terms ranging between one and three years. The quantum of sentence on the rest of the convicts will be pronounced on Monday.
