CBI court asks CBI to file counter affidavit to bail petition by Jagan Reddy

A Special CBI court in Hyderabad today asked the CBI to file counter affidavit to the Bail petition by the Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy. Jaganmohan Reddy who was arrested and produced before the special court yesterday is on judicial remand in the Chanchalguda Central jail till 11 of next month in connection with the alleged disproportionate assets case. The Special Court has posted the bail petition by Jaganmohan Reddy filed again today to Thursday for hearing.

Both the Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Jaganmohan Reddy who is on judicial remand and the Central Investigating Agency have moved the CBI Special court once again today. Though the petitions filed by both have been struck down yesterday, the court has taken the bail petition for hearing on the day after tomorrow.

It has asked the CBI to file a counter in this regard. Meanwhile, the CBI has taken Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad into custody this morning to question him further in the assets case against the Kadapa MP. Prasad was arrested about fifteen days ago and the CBI special court yesterday extended the remand of both Prasad and Senior Official Brahmananda Reddy till tomorrow.
