A CBI special court in Hyderabad today granted permission to YSR Congress President and Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to cast his vote in the Presidential Election to be held on Thursday. Jaganmohan Reddy, who was arrested in disproportionate assets case against him, is presently in Chanchalguda Jail on Judicial Remand. The Chief Principle Judge of the CBI Court Durga Prasad has passed the orders on a petition filed by the Lok Sabha Member to allow him to take part in the voting from Hyderabad .
The Court has asked the jail authorities to make arrangements to take the MP to the State Assembly to cast his vote in the presidential election. In a related development, Andhra Pradesh former Minister and another accused in the assets case, Venkata Ramana has also been permitted to take part in the voting on the day.
