CBI has conducted searches at 40 locations in Pune in connection with the seizure of around 8 crore rupees in new currency notes from 15 lockers of a company in the Bank of Maharashtra on the 14th of this month. <br/><br/>The investigation agency has also filed an FIR against the Director and Chief Finance Officer of the company, Worldwide Oilfield Machine, and one Satyen Gathani of Ishanya Hyundai Motors.<br/><br/>CBI officials believe Gathani helped the other two accused get old currency notes exchanged into new ones. CBI, in a press release, said it was alleged that the accused persons entered into a criminal conspiracy with unknown officers or officials of banks and some unknown private persons.
