The CBI today carried out searches at several locations, including the residence of Bharat Earth Movers Ltd BEML Chairman V R S Natarajan, in connection with alleged irregularities in tendering process for hiring a consultancy firm. CBI sources said, teams of CBI officials reached the residence of Natarajan early morning in connection with the case and took into their possession some incriminating documents related to the case.They said, the searches were spread at several locations in Bangalore and Coimbatore.

The case relates to alleged irregularities in the tendering process for hiring a consultancy firm Astral by the BEML. Natarajan is already questioned by the CBI in connection with a separate case Tatra all-terrain truck supply to Army.
