CBI is conducting searches at 36 places in different parts of the country in connection with evasion of excise duty to the tune of 340 crore rupees by a joint secretary in the Home ministry.<br/><br/>Speaking to AIR, CBI spokesperson, Mr Harsh Bhal said a joint secretary in the ministry of home affairs, O Ravi has been charged with criminal conspiracy and cheating and defrauding Daman and Diu excise department.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports searches are still continuing.
