The CBI today carried out searches at the residence of NDTV founder Prannoy Roy in New Delhi and other locations for allegedly concealing a share transaction from the SEBI and causing losses to a private bank. <br/><br/>CBI sources said the agency has registered a case against Roy, his wife Radhika and RRPR Holdings for allegedly causing losses of 48 crore rupees to ICICI Bank. <br/><br/>The agency conducted searches at two locations in Delhi and one each in Dehradun and Mussoorie.The NDTV has termed the move as a witch-hunt based on false accusations. <br/><br/>In a statement, it said the channel will not succumb to these attempts to undermine democracy and free speech in India. The CBI strongly denied the witch-hunt allegations levelled by news channel and said the agency is following procedures laid in the law.
