Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, carried out searches at 58 locations across the country in connection with multi-crore chit fund scam of West Bengal. Agency sources said, the searches were conducted at 29 places in West Bengal, 12 in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Delhi, 3 in Assam, 2 in Maharashtra and 1 in Jharkhand yesterday.<br/><br/>The residential premises of a private firm's directors Prithi Pal Singh Sethi and Girraj Vashishtha, and consultant BC Roy were also searched. CBI has registered 971 cases in the chit fund scam of which 464 matters related to non-Saradha chit fund firms.
