The CBI has booked the Director (Finance) of NTPC and two others in an alleged bribery case. The agency registered the FIR against NTPC's Kulamani Biswal and Rohit Reddy Bathina and Prabhat Kumar of a private company.<br/><br/>The FIR registered by the agency has alleged that Biswal demanded from Bathina that he should arrange 5 lakh US dollar to be spent by him during his trip abroad. <br/><br/>Later he asked him to give cash in Indian currency which he would convert into dollar.Sources said, Bathina arranged for the delivery of 5 lakh rupees in cash through hawala channels to Kumar for further delivery to Biswal in Delhi. <br/><br/>But he was arrested by the agency while he was about to deliver the amount. Sources said, the CBI also carried out search at Biswal's residence at Asian Games Village in New Delhi.
