The CBI has booked the CMD of NBCC (India) Limited Anoop Kumar Mittal for alleged corruption in 2,150 crore rupees re-development project of ITPO Complex at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. <br/><br/>Sources said, the Agency also arrested a government official and another person in connection with the case and carried out searches in Ghaziabad, Delhi and Mumbai. Both have been sent to four-day police custody by a special CBI court. <br/><br/>The agency alleged in the FIR that a contract was awarded to a joint venture of two companies by NBCC and a Mumbai-based company was trying to get the work on subcontract basis from one of the joint venture. <br/><br/>According to the CBI FIR, the deal for sub-contract of around 2,150 crore rupees was influenced by a government official who had demanded a bike as illegal gratification to exert his influence on NBCC CMD and get the deal swung in favour of Mumbai based company.
