CBI books Apollo Pharmacy in cheating case

CBI has booked Apollo Pharmacy, a unit of Apollo Hospitals and its director in a case of cheating and corruption. In an FIR registered on 8th of this month. the agency has named a pharmacist at BEL Hospital, Bengaluru and Apollo Pharmacy along with unidentified officials of BEL and others. It has charged the accused with criminal conspiracy to cheat, forgery and abuse of official position by public servant. <br/><br/>The accused pharmacist allowed misappropriation of 44.86 lakh rupees in connivance with Appollo pharmacy during 1st July 2013 to 30th June 2016 by entering the drugs of high value and thereby caused loss to the BEL. CBI had also conducted searches at three premises of the pharmacist.
